Blood- and image-derived input functions for mice scanned at normal physiologic core body temperature (37°C). Blood-derived input functions were determined using blood samples drawn every 10 min, starting 30 min after ¹⁸FDG injection. Thus, the blood-derived input function curve begins at time = 30 min. Note that the blood samples always yielded lower activity concentration than the image data due to background activity, as per equation 1.
